LAG - Wikipedia
Lag is a common term used in network systems, where results of actions appear much later than expected. Lag should be used to describe the symptom, not the cause. The term lag is implied to refer to noticeable delays to the user caused as a result of extended or unexpected delay.
Causes of Abnormal Delays:
----------------------------------------
*Inadequate Network Performance: Also called as network latency. Faulty routers, packet congestion, long paths caused packet interruption also.
*Inadequate Server Processing Power: Lag may be experienced where the server has more work to do than it can handle.
*Inadequate Client Processing Power: The user's computer may not be fast enough to handle the processing load.
*Packet Reordering and Retries: Some protocol implementations drop the out-of-order packets and rely on packet retries.
Lagometer: Display of network latency on an internet connection and of rendering by the client.

input lag: Phenomenon associated with some types of LCD displays that refers the latency, or lag measured by the difference between the time a signal is inputted into a display and the time it is shown by the display.

Transmission Medium - (Security in Computing) - 1
S -> Sender
R -> Receiver
If S entrusts the message to T, who then delivers it to R, T then becomes the transmission medium.
